Established in 2019, Midwest Muscle & Joint Clinic is a family-owned and operated clinic that specializes in not only getting people out of pain, but finding the root cause of that pain. Whether you are suffering from acute or chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or looking to improve your health and performance, we are here to help you achieve your goals. Our main goal is to bring various forms of manual therapy & rehabilitative exercises under one roof to provide the best evidence-based care and results.
At Midwest Muscle & Joint Clinic, we believe that movement is medicine. We are passionate about helping you live an active, healthy, and pain-free lifestyle. We pride ourselves on coaching patients through proper movement patterns and exercises, so that they can learn to not only manage their pain on their own but understand when an appointment with us might be necessary.
Our Functional Chiropractic Model
We practice a functional chiropractic model, which means that we focus on restoring your optimal function and performance, not just relieving your symptoms. Our functional chiropractic model consists of three stages of care: reset, restore, and revamp. Each stage is designed to help you progress from pain relief to functional improvement to peak performance.
Reset: The first stage of care is to reset your body by reducing inflammation, improving mobility, and alleviating pain. We use gentle and effective chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, and modalities to help you feel better and prepare your body for the next stage.
Restore: The second stage of care is to restore your function by strengthening your muscles, stabilizing your joints, and correcting your posture. We use specific and tailored exercises, stretches, and ergonomic advice to help you move better and prevent future injuries.
Revamp: The final stage emphasizes long-term well-being and preventative care. It involves proactive measures to maintain health, prevent future pain, and enhance overall quality of life. This may include lifestyle modifications, exercise routines, and ongoing support from the clinic.
